We’re looking for new board members who will focus on helping to guide our fundraising strategies and implementation to promote growth of Community Conservation and serve as trusted advisors to the Executive Director, ensuring they have the support, resources, and access necessary to further the mission and vision of CC. Expected commitment is 3-5 hours per month.
Specifically, we seek individuals who:
– Have a passion for the work we do. You might be someone already involved in conservation in your own community or maybe you are passionate about supporting communities around the world to conserve biodiversity.
– Will consider the organization a philanthropic priority and make an annual gift that reflects that priority. In order to credibly solicit financial support from foundations, organizations, businesses, and individuals, we need 100% of our board members to make a personal gift.
– Preferably have some previous board experience and understand the role and responsibilities of a board.
If you are interested, please email Executive Director Dr. Teri Allendorf at director@communityconservation.org and include this form.
