When you hear the words fundraising event, what do you picture? A black tie gala? A bake sale? A golf tournament? A grueling athletic challenge?

Pedal, Paddle, or Plod is none of those things.

At Community Conservation, we believe protecting biodiversity should be something everyone can participate in—whether you’re an avid cyclist, a weekend kayaker, a casual walker, or someone who simply wants an excuse to spend a few minutes outside each day.

We want to support you to enjoy the outdoors just like we support the communities around the world with whom we work.

That’s why we’re excited to invite you to our 6th Annual Pedal, Paddle, or Plod, a virtual fundraising event taking place August 1–15, 2026.

5 Reasons Why

  1. It’s virtual. So anyone can participate from anywhere.
  2. You’re protecting wildlife. Your participation raises much needed funds for conservation around the world.
  3. It’s a great summer activity to do with family, friends, or your community.
  4. You get a free sticker. (See design below. We also have t-shirts and other swag available in our store).
  5. Winners get prizes! (Bags, shirts, wooden carvings and paintings made by zoo animals!)

This year we also have this fun bread/food warmer from Cameroon.

How It Works

The concept is simple.

Register, choose your team, and spend time outdoors however you like. Walk your dog. Ride your bike. Paddle your favorite lake. Hike a local trail. Even a five-minute walk counts.

Every activity you log during the event helps raise money for your team’s conservation efforts thanks to an anonymous donor who will contribute $10 for every qualifying activity.

Your registration fee and any additional donations also help your team’s total, with all proceeds supporting Community Conservation’s work alongside local communities protecting biodiversity around the world.

Step 1: Choose Your Team

One of the most fun parts of Pedal, Paddle, or Plod is choosing your conservation team.

Will you join Team Cross River Gorilla, Team Orangutan, Team Red Panda or Team Yellow Tails?

Each team is led by a volunteer captain who will cheer participants on throughout the event. At the end of Pedal, Paddle, or Plod, the team that raises the most money will be crowned the 2026 champion.

Individual participants can also earn prizes by logging the greatest number of activities.

Early bird pricing ($30) until July 24th.

Every Step Supports Community-Led Conservation

The funds raised through Pedal, Paddle, or Plod support Community Conservation’s mission of supporting local communities to protect wildlife and the ecosystems they call home.

From tropical rainforests to mountain ecosystems, our partners are helping conserve endangered species while strengthening the communities that live alongside them. Your participation helps make that work possible.

Register Today

Early bird registration is just $30 through July 24.

  1. That’s a really smart approach. Focusing on direct support and awareness seems much more impactful than trying to individually complete a demanding physical challenge.
