Dr. Teri Allendorf, Executive Director of Community Conservation, will present Community Conservation: From Wisconsin to the World on Saturday from 2:30–4:00 PM, sharing insights from decades of work with communities across Nepal, Myanmar, India, and beyond.

The festival also features keynote speaker Dr. Stanley A. Temple, along with food, music, and opportunities to connect with others who care deeply about protecting the natural world.

Community Conservation director Teri Allendorf will also participate in a community working group focused on conserving the unique habitat of the Kickapoo-Wildcat Important Bird Area.

The event will take place Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Visitor Center and will include an optional guided bird walk at 8:00 AM followed by a community input session from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. This gathering is an opportunity for local residents, conservation supporters, and bird enthusiasts to help shape the future of one of Wisconsin’s most important ecological landscapes.

A free lunch will be provided with RSVP by May 11. To RSVP, scan the QR code on the flyer above, or email info@valleystewardshipnetwork.org

We encourage anyone interested in conservation, habitat protection, and community-driven environmental stewardship to attend and share their voice.

Please join us if you’re free. We would love to connect in person!
