Hornbills are present at our sites in Borneo, Malaysia
Our latest annual report is now available. And we hope you’ll take a look as it outlines all the incredible ways your support made a difference this year.
Because of you, communities across the world protected forests, monitored wildlife, restored ecosystems, and strengthened their ability to care for the land they call home.
Your investment made sure conservation didn’t stay theoretical. It became action:
- In Nepal, local forest groups documented 21 wildlife species and trained dozens of community members to monitor and protect critical habitat.
- In Peru, communities secured and managed over 300,000 acres of forest through conservation concessions.
- In Myanmar, Indigenous communities restored wetlands, planted hundreds of native trees, and reached 700+ students with conservation education.
- In Cameroon, communities protected habitat for gorillas and chimpanzees while building local capacity for long-term stewardship.
- In Malaysia, Indigenous Iban communities restored degraded land and expanded habitat for species like orangutans, bay cats, hornbills, and sun bears.
None of this started with a top-down directive. It started with you choosing to invest in people. This approach is not only more effective, it’s more resilient. When conservation is owned by the community, it doesn’t disappear when conditions change. It becomes part of daily life.
This above list in only a small snapshot of what was achieved. Read the full report below:

That’s fantastic to see the impact of donations. It’s really inspiring to learn about the forest protection work happening in Borneo.
